#Protectthevulnerable movement
SELF-ISOLATE TO SAVE LIVES
COVID-19 is highly contagious. Data shows that it is two times more communicable than the flu. It is thought to spread from person to person through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs/sneezes/spits, etc. You can then spread those infected droplets around and infect other people when you touch commonly used surfaces. According to the CDC, the incubation period (the time between when you contract a virus and when your symptoms start) for COVID-19 is anywhere between 2 – 14 days. This means you can be contagious and be spreading infected droplets yourself without even knowing it.
Not only do you want to protect yourself, but we are also asking that you self isolate/social distance to #ProtectTheVulnerable. Those of us who are at a higher risk of infection/severe illness rely on everyone else to follow medical professionals’ guidelines to stay healthy.

“Every time you decide
'it's okay' not to take precautions, you're
making me an unwilling
participant in your
game of Russian Roulette.
You're holding a gun
to my head every time
you [take a risk], and
soon, you're going to run out of blanks.”

“Because the truth is, there's no 'us' and 'you'...there's just
we. And we are
ALL vulnerable.
Scary...isn't it?”
